Student work: advertising

Some stellar campaigns from my Art Direction classes at Virginia Tech and the University of North Texas.

  1. A poster campaign for The 6th Floor museum in Dallas, Texas, which examines the life and death of US President John F. Kennedy
    Awards: Best of Show and Special Judges’ Award at the 2014 National Student Show; Gold Awards at local, regional, and national levels at the 2015 AAF Awards; and Featured in the Student Spotlight section of AdsOfTheWorld.com
  2. A fun, Dr. Seuss-themed magazine campaign for Easy Slider, a Texas-based food truck specializing in mini-hamburgers.
  3. Magazine campaign for habanero-pepper-infused Evil Hot Gummi Bears. Yes, it’s a thing.
  4. Poster and social media campaign for the Visting Writers Series at Virginia Tech.
  5. Campaign for The Mission Continues, a nonprofit organization that connects veterans with local community service opportunities so they can continue serving their country after being discharged.
    Awards: Gold Addy and Special Judges’ Award at the local 2016 AAF Awards, and featured in the 2016 Student Showcase of Leurzer’s Archive, a bi-monthly magazine for the advertising industry which features advertising campaigns from around the world.
  6. Poster for Adobo Loco Hawaiian hot sauce. That headline still makes me laugh.
